Rubasingham wins at the Asian Women of Achievement

Rubasingham, the new Artistic Director at
The Tricycle Theatre, London, was recognised
for her "astounding achievements"
in theatre at the Asian Women of Achievement
Awards 2012 held at the Hilton Hotel, Park
Lane, London on Wednesday 16th May 2012. Among
the ten pioneering women honoured was luxury
retailer Sung-Joo Kim.

12th annual New York Indian FIlm Festival
(NYIFF) presented by the Indo-American
Arts Council takes place from May 23rd
- 27th 2012 with Bedabrata Pain's 'Chittagong'
as its opening night film. The NYIFF
2012 will also pay tribute to director
Shyam Benegal and will screen 'Saving
Face', directed by Daniel Junge and
Sharmeen Obaid- Chinoy, winner of the
Oscar for Best Documentary Short 2012.
